Stamps, Covers and Philately of King George V 1865 – 1936

Following the death of his father, King Edward VII in 1910, George V was the first British monarch of the House of Windsor, which he created from the British branch of the German House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.
He first appeared on stamps in the UK in 1911. Covering many areas of philately, the stamps of George V are sought after worldwide, and contain some of the rarest stamps available, such as the Prussian Blue errror of colour above, which sells for many 10's of thousands of British Pounds.
